Oct 2024 WHY PROPERTY MANAGEMENT... CAN BE AN EXTRA LEVEL OF PROTECTION

After much investigating we uncovered a contractual agreement to sell a Scarsdale property we managed for the past 25 years. The owner had no knowledge that contracts were signed & ready to close! Many hours dedicated to piecing everything together which included warning Attorneys & authorities of the situation. Our intervention prevented the closing between a fraudulent seller & unsuspecting buyer....

Dana and Wendy Topper have managed my sister’s house for many years. They have gone out of their way to help her deal with any problems that have arisen. Recently, they were instrumental in foiling a scam artist from selling property that my sister owns. If they had not reached out immediately, and notified us, the property would have been sold illegally & caused a financial catastrophe! It is unfortunate that so much information is available to the public, and can be abused by the lawless.

We’ve been using Dana and Wendy’s realty and property management services for 20+ years and have been delighted with their partnership. So, when they mentioned that they are now offering project management too, we didn’t hesitate to hire them for our renovation and are thrilled that we did. I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional service provided by the Topper Team / Plus Services in managing 111 Vintage Court, White Plains. Unfortunately, my tour of duty at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations will end this week.
We moved to Westchester in August 2018 and from the beginning, we appreciated the high value of the highly professional property management provided by the Topper Team / Plus Services. Naturally, all properties occasionally require once in a while necessary repairs. When this happens, it is outstanding service that the Topper Team has always been very approachable and fast responding and a professional repair was carried out usually the following day, whether it's just a dripping faucet or a complete heating system that needs to be replaced. On the other hand we appreciated the space, privacy and discretion the property management gave us over the years. This is of particular importance for the well-being and sense of security of a family of four arriving from abroad and starting to become familiar with a new living environment. In this regard is the experience with international families, that the Topper Team has, priceless. We felt at home in Valimar in a short time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We could always rely on Dana and Wendy and always saw them as trustworthy partners who not only represent the interests of the property owners to the extent required but also aim to make the tenants' living situation as comfortable as possible. The Topper Team has managed this task over the 6 years we spent in Westchester and made our stay as tenants exceptionally pleasant.
The handover of the house at the end of our lease was absolutely smooth, and the return of the full security deposit was prompt and timely before our departure.
Should we return to New York, we will first seek a property managed by the Topper Team.

During our relocation from Germany Mrs. Dana Topper was recommended to us by a couple who had just moved to the US before and whom she had helped during their move. We met Mrs. Topper on short notice and she showed us several houses. After our return to Europe, we continued to stay in touch with her via email. When my husband came back to New York for a business trip she showed him the house we are now living in. In the following weeks Mrs. Topper took care of the whole correspondence, she reacted very quickly and had an answer to our questions. We were very pleased with the reliability and experience of her services.
Mrs. Topper continues to work as a Manager for the Landlord but has always had an open ear for our needs as tenants. We can always count on her immediate and full response.

I would highly recommend using Dana Topper and Wendy Topper to manage your real estate whether you are nearby or far away. They provide such complete service from finding and screening tenants, assisting with all transactions involving the tenant, lease, and outside firm such as the condo management firm. Additionally, they arrange for and supervise all work.
I have had my condo managed by Dana Topper and Wendy Topper approximately 15 years. Their judgement is excellent. I am currently residing in Italy and would certainly not have the peace of mind that I have about that real estate if it were not in their hands. The cost of their services is far less than the money I would lose by having the condo go empty or by having an unhappy tenant.

Dana and Wendy Topper helped us in renting out our home in Valimar, White Plains. Acutally we took a very sudden decision on moving to London UK. We were initially planning to sell our house and contacted most of the leading Real Estate Agencies. One of the areas that really differentiated the experience with Dana and Wendy was their knowledge of the area in general and Valimar in particular. It is really difficult to compensate for the knowledge gathered by actually living there. This would have been enough reason for us to select them, but they gave us a more compelling reason. We were actually still trying to evaluate whether we would sell or rent. All the other realtors who came to talk to us insisted that selling was a better idea without going into any details. But Dana and Wendy discussed the pros and cons of both with us in details. They also explained their Property Management Services which was at par if not better (especially given that Dana lives in Valimar) than those offered by other Real estate companies. Based on this we decided to put our house on the market for both sell and rent. We actually got an offer for rent within 2 days and finalized it within 2 weeks. Since then, the communication and attention to details have left us very satisfied that we took the right decision by choosing them. We would whole heartedly recommend Dana and Wendy to anyone that would like to utilize their services. They made what could have been a very stressful process for us very smooth.

It's hard to believe but this past November we began our third year of expatriate life in London. We've thoroughly enjoyed our time in the UK and have high expectations for another fun and eventful 2008.

I don't know if I can put into words what you have meant to us. We live in California and had a condo in White Plains we used as a rental property. We recently had some bad tenants. We contacted The Topper Team and explained to them the problems we were having, I also at the time explained we couldn't afford their fee. However, after giving it some additional thought and having worked with Dana and Wendy in the past, I realized, we could not afford not to have them. They were tireless, relentless and very professional in their handling of this problem. After we were finally successful in getting her out, the place had to be cleaned, the bathroom remodeled for potential owners which they found in no time.
